The Playground lets you talk to your agent exactly as a guest would. Messages, bookings, and notifications are simulated: nothing is sent to real guests. Select a single property, then open Playground under Test in the sidebar, or select Try your agent in the top bar. Ecco automatically shows the Voice, WhatsApp, and OTA agents currently connected to that property.

Choose the channel

At the top, select Voice, WhatsApp, or OTA. When a channel has more than one agent, choose one from the menu next to it. On the first test, review and confirm the consent request. Ecco then prepares a secure preview of the selected agent.

Free testing allowance

The banner at the top of the Playground shows only the remaining allowance the property can use:
  • Voice only: remaining voice minutes
  • WhatsApp or OTA only: remaining guest messages
  • Voice and text channels: both minutes and messages
Each property starts with 30 voice minutes and 100 guest messages across WhatsApp and OTA. Only messages written by the guest count; agent replies do not. The banner is blue while balances are available. It turns amber when fewer than 5 voice minutes remain or no messages remain. When the voice allowance runs out, you cannot start another call. A call already in progress continues normally. When the message allowance runs out, the writing box is locked; the session stays open.
To continue testing after reaching an allowance, email [email protected].

Set the scenario

Select Change scenario to describe the guest you are playing: Select Apply. Changing the scenario restarts the conversation. Open What the agent will know to preview the information the agent receives before you start.

Test WhatsApp or OTA

1

Start the chat

Select Start chat. Ecco prepares the booking context, connects the agent, and shows when you are Ready to write. Select Cancel to stop.
2

Write as the guest

Write your first message, or pick one under Or start from a typical question. The agent never writes first.
3

Follow what the agent does

Under each reply, Consulted: lists the information the agent looked up.

Test a voice call

Select Call the agent and allow the microphone. Speak as the guest; use the controls to mute or End the call. You can also type messages to the voice agent. If the microphone is blocked, select Continue in chat.

Review the result

After the first reply, two tabs appear: Conversation and Summary. The Summary shows the Duration, the Turns, the Average response time, the Actions the agent took (simulated = not actually sent), and any Handover to the team. When the conversation ends, select See summary to review it, or Start over to try another case.
To start a fresh test at any time, select New conversation in the top bar and confirm End the test?.

Common questions

No. Every action is simulated, and no guest receives anything.
The booking statuses of this property are not available yet. You can still test questions from guests without a reservation.
This agent uses a procedure that the Playground cannot safely simulate yet. Its live service continues to work normally.
Sessions end after a period of inactivity. Select Start over to begin again.
