To receive calls through the Ecco system while keeping your original phone number, you must set up the Groundwire application to manage communications and configure call forwarding to the VoIP number assigned by the Ecco team.

Part 1: Groundwire Configuration

Groundwire is a professional VoIP application that allows you to manage SIP calls with maximum reliability. it ensures you receive calls even when the app is closed or the phone is on standby, thanks to push notifications.
Application Cost: Groundwire is a paid app (approximately €9-10 one-time purchase). The payment will be handled via a gift card shared by the Ecco team at the time of setup.

Step 1: Download the App

Download Groundwire from your device’s store:

Step 2: Add New Account

  1. Open Groundwire.
  2. Tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top right.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap the + button in the top right.
  5. Select Generic SIP Account.

Step 3: Enter Account Details

Fill in the fields with the data provided by Ecco:

Step 4: Enable push notifications

This step is critical to ensure no calls are missed.
  1. Tap Incoming Calls (under the Domain field).
  2. Select Push Notifications (a blue checkmark will appear).
  3. Tap Back and then Save in the top right.

Step 5: Verify Configuration

If the configuration is correct, you will return to the main screen and see your account name in GREEN at the top left. If it remains red or shows “No account,” verify your internet connection and the accuracy of the credentials entered.

Part 2: Call Forwarding

Call forwarding allows you to redirect incoming calls from your business number to the VoIP number provided by Ecco. Choose the most convenient method for your setup:
Enter the following codes directly on your phone’s dial pad. Replace [number] with the VoIP number provided by Ecco.
  • Activate: **21*+39[number]#
  • Deactivate: ##21#
